She Sings

Rebecca Magnuson is a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur known for her work as a singer-songwriter, composer, concert pianist, and playwright. A child prodigy, Rebecca began playing the piano at an early age and was appointed church pianist at her father’s Brooklyn church by the third grade. At age 14, her family relocated to Chautauqua, NY, where she studied piano at the prestigious Chautauqua Institution for the Arts, receiving scholarships from the Chautauqua Women's Club and studying under world-renowned concert pianist Ozan Marsh. These formative experiences cemented her passion for music, which has remained the driving force throughout her career.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, after which she began teaching and performing professionally. Her career took a significant turn when she moved to Nashville, TN, where she caught the attention of Bob Doyle, Garth Brooks’ longtime business partner, who signed her songs to Garth’s publishing company, Major Bob Music. Since then, her work has been signed with various prominent publishers, including Sony Nashville, and her catalog is now owned by She Sings® Publishing, a company she founded. Rebecca is a member of ASCAP, the Nashville Songwriters Association, the International Society of Female Professionals, The Kennedy Center, The International Documentary Association, and the National Music Teachers Association, among others. She has also served on several boards and worked extensively on behalf of domestic violence victims in Washington, DC, Nashville, and Los Angeles.

Rebecca wrote and produced her acclaimed one-woman show, She Sings®, A Soaring Musical, which premiered to sold-out audiences in 2018 in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York City. The production was later adapted into a five-part documentary series, She Sings®: Surviving the Narcissist, which is now available.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Rebecca has demonstrated entrepreneurial success. She founded Magnuson Transport LLC and, as a Delivery Service Partner with Amazon from 2019 to 2022, received numerous accolades, including the Top Five Percent Worldwide award.

Currently, Rebecca owns and operates She Sings® Cafe, Restaurant, and Bar in Mayville, NY, situated on the scenic Chautauqua Lake. Through her nonprofit organization, *She is Safe, Inc.*, she supports women affected by domestic abuse in Chautauqua County.
