About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

The Trinity Research Development Office is hosting a 3-hour workshop designed to help TCD researchers develop competitive funding proposals with a focus on societal impact. This event is open to any TCD-based research who is working to develop a research funding proposal to any funding agency which includes the societal impact of research as part of the evaluation criteria.

During the workshop, we'll explore the concept of research impact and its significance in securing research funding. We'll introduce the Theory of Change method which is a powerful tool for designing research projects with a clear impact focus. Through a series of interactive sprint writing exercises, attendees will have the opportunity to develop and refine their proposals.

To get the most out of the workshop, please bring a proposal to work on during the event. This can be a proposal concept you want to develop, a proposal that you are in the process of writing, or one that has not yet been funding and you are considering for future resubmission.

By attending this workshop, you'll gain valuable insights and practical skills to enhance your impactful proposal development and increase your chances of securing research funding.

Please indicate at least 2 weeks before the event date if you have any access requirements, such as ISL/English interpreting, so that we can facilitate you in attending this event.
