Its over 17 months since Palestine's struggle for freedom intensified, and Israel's outright campaign of genocide began. In that time, thousands of solidarity campaigns have sprung up around the world, and while the Palestinian people have fought on, much has been achieved at home. However, there has been a shift on the world stage. While growing numbers of people have increasingly stood in support of Palestine, western governments have only been cracking down harder, and deepening their ties to Israel. With Trump's ascendency to the presidency of the United States, this shift has only been more solidified. While a ceasefire may exist, the terrain is shifting, and war may resume soon. The Solidarity movements in Ireland and around the world now must reckon with the new reality that is becoming clear, and ask: Where Next for the Palestine Liberation Movement?
