Wedding Calligraphy Workshop

Learn how to add elegant touches to your wedding with modern, dip-pen calligraphy.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use a calligraphy pen, the basic strokes that form an alphabet, and how to develop gorgeous written elements to elevate your wedding's aesthetic; from the stationery to the day-of-wedding signage.

This workshop is filled with insights from Louise's own experience of learning calligraphy for her wedding in 2016.

About the class:

• Part 1of the class is about getting to grips with holding a dip-pen and nib and practicing the basic strokes on the sheets provided, then we'll move on to a more formal alphabet.
• Part 2 of the class is dedicated to adapting your hand-lettering to suit the many different written elements that your wedding may include.
• You will receive attentive instruction - class sizes are limited with your optimal learning experience in mind.

• Worksheets with an alphabet exemplar are supplied, including a practice plan to work on after the class.
• During the workshop, you'll be making some calligraphy art to frame at home.
• Afterwards, you'll receive a link to recommended supplies and where to buy them.

About your teacher:

• I'm Louise, I started learning calligraphy in 2015 to create bespoke stationery for my own wedding and I have been creating cards and framed gifts for friends and family ever since.
• My classes are fun and relaxed - never formal.
