About this event

Although produced more than two thousand years apart by two different societies, these two works depict the theme of war and how it affects human existence using myths, symbols, and metaphors to reach their audiences with messages regarding their cultures’ attitudes towards violence according to the ethical principles of their times.

What will I get?

An online Certificate of Attendance.

How long is each lecture?

1-hour lecture: 50 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q&A

Can I earn academic credits?

Yes. You must complete 6 hours of work to earn 0.2 or 0.3 ECTS towards our Graduate programmes.

How are the academic hours split?

These 6 hours are broken into: 50 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q&A + 1.5 hours pre-lecture (student receives assignment, prepares for lecture, researches topic) + 2 hours post-lecture (consultation/research/evaluation comments) + 1.5 hours completing assignment

Do I need to pay more for academic credits?

We want to encourage more people to engage with all the rich art, culture and history around us. Therefore, you only pay for the price for the lecture for now.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Yes. However, they will not be initially available for public viewing. If you are sensitive about your images/voice being seen/heard, then you should turn your camera and microphone off during the session. By registering for the event, you agree that you understand and accept this condition.
