The session will ensure that staff have the knowledge, skills and understanding to optimise the wellbeing of both adults and children/young people in their school and support this crucial cultural change.

This training is supported by over 1000 evidence-based research studies, is designed to empower staff to understand the needs of all children and teenagers, including those who have suffered a trauma or have a mental health issue.

Delegates will also learn what happens in Trauma and Mental Health Informed schools in terms of key relational approaches and interventions to positively impact the whole school culture.

The neuroscience and psychology of child and adolescent mental health and mental ill-health: what all staff need to know.

Who is the trainer?

Siobhan Garrett is a Senior Trainer and Consultant for TISUK. Siobhán was a principal of an SEBD school in Dublin. Siobhán believes passionately in the power of empathic, attuned relationships to transform the lives of children who are suffering because of painful life experiences.

Where will the training take place?

Bay 1, Digital Depot, Roe Lane (off Thomas Street) The Digital Hub, Dublin 8, D08 TCV4. It is a 20 minute walk from College Green, and a 12 minute walk from nearby Heuston Station. It is a 10 minute walk from numerous Red Line Luas Stops. Public Car Park and taxi rank 5 mins away.
