To celebrate Open House Dublin, Dublin Castle (OPW) is delighted to offer guided tours on Sunday, 20th October.
These 30 min tours will guide visitors through the 19th century Chapel Royal (designed by Francis Johnston) and the 18th century State Apartments at Dublin Castle.
During the tours, members of our Guiding Team will discuss the site’s significance as the seat of British rule between 1230 and 1922. Today the Chapel Royal is used for private concerts and plays, as well as the backdrop for our 18th century Neopolitan Crib each Christmas! The State Apartments are used by the President and Government of Ireland for state entertaining.
These tours are free of charge. Booking is essential, as places are limited!
All tours will meet in THE ENTRANCE HALL of the State Apartments. Please arrive 10 mins before the start time of your tour.
