This is the story of 20-year-old Sharon Rabbitte, a spirited young woman living with her parents, who finds herself pregnant after an encounter with a man she’d rather forget. Refusing to reveal the father’s identity, Sharon decides to keep the child and slowly breaks the news to her family and friends.
As Sharon’s pregnancy becomes the talk of the town, speculation runs wild about who the father could be. That is, until one unlikely candidate starts to come to the fore. With its sharp dialogue, unforgettable characters, and a healthy dose of Irish humor, The Snapper is a celebration of family, community, and the resilience of the human spirit.
