About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Our tour includes an architectural appraisal of the Pro-Cathedral, a discussion of 18th music once sang and played at the Marlborough Bowling Green, an appreciation of the Edwardian and early 20th century architecture which replaced the ruins left by 1916 and then the Irish Civil War, and finally the long, richly layered history of great theatres, opera houses and newspaper offices around the O’Connell Street area from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. 11:15am at the base of the O’Connell statue Monument, on Lower O’Connell Street.
