Ben Cooper & Friends Present ‘The Music of Steve Gadd’
Bandleader, Composer and Drummer Ben Cooper presents a programme of music taking in the career of the legendary Dr. Steve Gadd. Cooper and band will take in a selection from the many artists who have prevailed upon Gadd’s signature style and groove, such as James Taylor, Paul Simon, Steely Dan and Chick Corea. Expect a selection of iconic grooves and fills including ’50 Ways To Leave Your Lover,’ ‘Aja’, ‘Night Sprite’, and more.
Gadd’s recorded and live work runs the gamut of Pop, Folk, Jazz and Fusion music. Presenting such a diverse array of classic music requires truly stellar musicians, and Ben is privileged on this occasion to be joined by Derek ‘Doc’ O’Connor on Tenor and Soprano Saxophones, Podge Kilbride on Keyboards, Stephen Carolan on Guitar and Vocals, and Bob Smith on Bass Guitar and Vocals. We may even invite a special guest or two!
