About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This is a lively, upbeat, often hilarious panel discussion with three women, who have all experienced reinvention in their 50s…

  • Barbara Scully went from a stay at home mother to writer, author and broadcaster,
  • Orla O Doherty morphed from a professional squash player to writer and comedian,
  • Val Troy is an accountant who became a comedy writer.

Our panellists will look at why women (and sometimes men too) have an urge to do ‘something new, something different’ as they enter their post menopausal years. Does this require huge bravery? Or do the freedoms of later life make us all courageous, even if we don’t know it?

This discussion will entertain, as well as uplift the audience and encourage them to believe that anything really is possible, not just at any age but especially as you age.
