Explore Dublin's hidden gems and beautiful coastal line while escaping your daily hustle and bustle. Along with old harbours, beaches and palm trees, you might even get lucky enough to spot a seal.

This is a flexible 29km walk from Bray Seafront to St James Church in Dublin City Centre.

We’re meeting at Finnbee's Coffee House on Bray Seafront at 9am for some light stretching and a brief introduction to the tour.

The Dart is following our route most of the time, so you can easily join in later or leave earlier if preferred.

Difficulty: Moderate (flat but long)

Seapoint Martello Tower to Merrion Gates 4.0 km
Merrion Gates to Hanover Quay 4.1 km
Hanover Quay to Christ Church Cathedral 3.7 km

What to bring on the day:

Water – don't foget to bring your reusable bottle!
Small snack/lunch
Comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Proper, sturdy footwear suitable for long-distance walking, ideally with ankle support, will reduce the risk of injury on and after the walk.
Blister plasters
Sun cream and sunglasses
Rain gear (just in case... it is Ireland after all!)

How to get there:

Bus: Bray is connected to Dublin city centre by the 145 and 155 buses. Dun Laoghaire and other south Dublin suburbs can be reached on the 45a, 45b, the 143, and 144. Bray is also reachable from other towns around County Wicklow, including Enniskerry, Newcastle, and Wicklow Town.

Dart: Trains run reguarly southbound from the city centre and Howth, and northbound from Greystones.

Car: As part of Follow the Camino's commitment to a sustainable planet, we ask that people car pool wherever possible when travelling to and from walking activities.
