About this event

The Student Teacher Educational Research (STER) Conference will take place on 27 April 2022 from 15:30 to 19:30. This year the conference is being hosted by Marino Institute of Education, Dublin.

The conference is organised by a team of students and staff and will feature presentations from student teachers and education students from higher education institutions across Ireland. The theme of our conference is ‘Education Research: Insights, Innovation and Inspiration’ and will feature:

  • Individual Presentations by students and graduates hat focus on the findings of their dissertation research spanning early years, primary, post-primary and further education.
  • A Panel discussion; Perspectives on the Research Journey, with education students and graduates who will give tips and advice based on their experience conducting research.
  • The launch of the STER e-Journal Special Issue on Intercultural Education featuring short articles written by education students in Ireland.
  • Opportunities for Q&A with students and graduates who have conducted research in education.

STER is aimed at education students who would like advice about the research process, and teachers and practitioners who would like to hear more about the up-to-date research being conducted by undergraduate and Masters students in Ireland.

Registration is free but places are limited. All in-person attendees will be entered into a draw for spot prizes. Ticket holders are invited to attend the full conference or join particular sessions. If you cannot attend the Conference in person, there may be an option to attend virtually, please contact ster.ireland@gmail.com for more information.
