About this event

This collaborative event is part of the One Million Stars to End Violence project, a global movement using woven stars as symbols of hope, unity, and resilience. Hosted by Waterford’s volunteer initiative, it invites everyone—individuals, families, and groups—to join hands in creating a flame-inspired artwork that reflects themes of healthy relationships and positive connections.

Together, we’ll arrange hundreds of existing woven stars into flowing patterns of colour and light. The stars, created already by volunteers from Waterford, carry messages of care and strength. By adding your presence and energy, you’ll help shape this meaningful piece while reflecting on values like respect, trust, and empathy.

Each session begins with a guided meditation to ground the space and set intentions. Participants are invited to journal, share thoughts, or simply focus on the meditative process of arranging stars. There’s no need for creative experience—this is about showing up, connecting, and contributing to something larger than ourselves.

Try come in at the start where we share insights about the concept behind the project, but you can stay a short time or join for the full session - your part in this project matters. Help us build not just an artwork, but a symbol of solidarity and hope for the future.
