We want to offer a spiritual retreat time to those who might be feeling weary, worn down and wanting a bit of space.
We have asked 3 Spiritual Directors/Retreat Facilitators to guide you through this time over Zoom; there will be a mixture of self reflection, music, Bible reading, small group sharing & more.
The theme for this retreat is Living with Curiosity & Compassion: The Story of Blind Bartimaus.
It is facilitated by Catherine Carey RGN, RM, HDip Public health, MA Science, Dip. Spirituality. She is a contemplative in action, a pilgrim learning to live in the present moment and experience the revelation of God in daily life. Along with her husband Fergus she leads a small missional community of believers. With a strong focus on community, she volunteers with social justice projects in the city and runs the Dublin healing rooms. Originally from Limerick, Catherine has lived in Dublin since 1991. She has four adult children and four granddaughters. After a decade at home when her children were little, she then spent 25 years in public health nursing. Following early retirement, she has time to focus on her ministry as a spiritual director and lead guided Scriptural meditations with groups and run retreats. Over lockdown Catherine has enjoyed long walks in nature, hours of reading and regular sea swims but has missed being with family and sharing meals with friends.
Option for 30min Spiritual Direction after the retreat on the same day (book in advance, limited spaces)
More details on the retreat format to come.
