COMEDIAN SOPHIE MCCARTNEY ANNOUNCES BIGGEST TOUR TO DATE WITH
ONE FOOT IN THE RAVE
Award-winning comedian, podcaster and best-selling author Sophie McCartney, today announces her biggest tour to date with brand new show One Foot In The Rave. After a record-breaking debut international tour in 2023/4, Sophie is preparing to head out across the UK with comfy slippers and a glitterball in hand.
Audiences may be familiar with Sophie after she has successfully built up a loyal fan base online with her hilarious and relatable sketches as ‘Tired and Tested’. This brand-new laughter-packed show tackles the next stage in Sophie’s life and begins to ask the all-important questions as she enters a new era. What does life look like when you’re too old to be young, but too young to be old? Is it bad if you’re secretly thrilled when a friend cancels plans? Is growing old gracefully really better than a little synthetic help? And is a wild night out really any better than getting you bra and make up off by 9pm?
Recently kicked out of club 18-30, a new decade now beckons and she DOES NOT BELIEVE IT. Tackling her perimenopausal panic with denial, delirium, and a shot of tequila - desperate for a mad night out ), this mum of three, and optimistic raver, is by no means down and out - she’s up and in… watching Netflix. Grab your glow sticks and thermals and join Sophie as she embarks on life’s next big chapter with sequins, snorty laughs, and a pair of killer orthopaedic heels.
Sophie McCartney said: “I’m so excited to be heading out on tour again, if nothing else – so I get four nights a week in a hotel room on my own. This show is really close to my heart, and whether you’re at the same stage of life as me, a little further on, or worried about getting anywhere near middle age – I want you to leave thinking ‘Wow, it’s really not that bad… and also, salmon sperm under the eyes…who knew?!’ The energy of the last show was incredible, and this time I’m going one slippered step further. I like to think of myself as the ultimate instigator of the mum’s night out. So sort your baby sitter, sink some prosecco, and I’ll do the rest… apart from hold your hair back.”
Sophie McCartney is a comedian, author, and podcaster. A rising star on the UK comedy circuit and a Funny Women award-winner for Best Comedy Series , she is also the author of two Sunday Times Number One bestsellers.
Sophie announced her debut stand up tour ‘Tired and Tested’ in March 2023 which sold out in less that 24 hours, making it Live Nation’s fastest selling debut tour for a female comedian…ever. Due to extraordinary demand, the tour was extended from 15 dates to 63 dates in the UK. After an incredible response from UK fans, Sophie debuted her first international leg of the tour in Australia and New Zealand where she performed to delighted fans in Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Sophie is host of her own podcast, Tired and Tested, which flew into number 5 of the UK comedy charts on release and has been dubbed Mother & Baby’s number one podcast.
