About this event

As part of Vandeleur Festival Kilrush 2025, Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre are excited to host Socks in the Frying Pan live in-concert this June.

Socks in the Frying Pan is a multi-award-winning trio from Ennis, County Clare. Forged together by a fire of pure joy and passion for their art, the band comprises Aodan Coyne on guitar and lead vocals, Shane Hayes on accordion, and younger brother Fiachra Hayes on fiddle.

Their ‘Socks Sound’ combines virtuosic musicianship with a burning passion for the music and tradition, pitch-perfect harmonies, and a big splash of quick wit and banter. Their electrifying performances and on-stage charm have established them as the kingpins on the Irish Traditional Music scene today.

Note: As on-site parking is limited, we encourage attendees to park in the town centre and use the pedestrian access to the garden via Turret Lane. A shuttle bus service will also be available. Details to follow.

Thriving behind old stone walls amongst 170 hectares of woodland near Kilrush in County Clare, the Vandeleur Walled Garden belonged to the Vandeleur family in the 19th century. The charming medley of plants provides a fascinating glimpse into the past. The garden specialises in flora that thrives in this unique microclimate. It also displays water features, a maze, giant chess, and a Victorian style glasshouse.
