Tired of pants that are too long? Wish you knew how to perfectly hem your jeans without losing that original, professional look? This fun, hands-on workshop is your answer!

Whether you're a complete sewing newbie or just need a refresher, I'll empower you with the skills and confidence to tackle any hemming project.


Join me at Greywood Arts Centre, Killeagh (East Cork) for a relaxed and supportive learning experience.


I believe that every woman deserves to have clothes that fit and flatter, and I'm here to help you achieve that – one perfectly hemmed pair of pants at a time!

What you'll need:

  • A pair of old pants is perfect for practicing your hemming skills.
  • If you don't have a spare pair, we'll have material available.
  • Sewing machines are available for use, but please bring your own if you have one.

About your tutor


Jennifer is a sewing and pattern drafting expert who is on a mission to help women reclaim their bodies and feel great in the clothes they wear.


She believes that sewing for yourself is the ultimate act of self-love.


She has radically changed her relationship with her own body through sewing and drafting her own patterns and now wants to empower other women do the same.

Frequently asked questions

What skill level is this workshop suitable for?

This workshop is designed for women who have some experience with using a sewing machine (very basic knowledge), as well as those who have some sewing experience but want to improve their hemming skills.

What do I need to bring with me?

I would encourage you to bring an old pair of pants to practice on. If you don't have a spare pair, I will have material available for practice. If you have a sewing machine, please bring that along too. All other materials and tools will be provided.

Do I need a sewing machine?

I have a number of sewing machines available for use. However, bringing your own sewing machine is encouraged if you have one. This allows you to become more comfortable with your own equipment.

What kind of pants should I bring for practice?

Any type of pants will work for practicing the hemming techniques. Jeans, trousers, chinos, etc. are all suitable.

Why should I learn to hem my own pants?

Learning to hem your own pants saves you money on alterations, gives you complete control over the fit of your clothes, and allows you to customise your wardrobe to your exact preferences. It's a valuable skill that you'll use for years to come!

What about accessibility?
