We would like to invite you to the inaugural joint learning event between the Masters in Social Work, Discipline of Applied Social Studies, University of Galway and the HSE Adult Social Work Services. The purpose of this training partnership is to explore current research and discuss common areas of practice across services. The theme of this inaugural event is ‘Self Neglect’.

Guest Speaker: Mary Rose Day, co-author of the ‘Self Neglect in Older Adults’.


Contributions by :

Sarah Doonan, recent MSW graduate who completed her research dissertation on the area of Self Neglect.

Karl Brogan, Head of QSSI HSE & Chair of the Self Neglect Advisory Panel CHW

Amanda Casey, Chief Social Worker, will open the learning event

Declan Coogan, Director of the MSW programme will close the event.

This event is free.

MY126 is on the ground floor of Aras Moyola. Limited Pay and display parking at the back of the building and on the main road opposite the entrance to the campus on upper Newcastle Rd.
