About this event
Santa’s Magical Village is located in the Castlecomer Discovery Park’s Craft Yard. Free parking is available to all visitors and ticket holders during the event.
At check in, visitors are warmly greeted at reception, slots confirmed, personalised requests to Santa recorded and guests receive their passes to meet with Santa Claus.
After checking in at reception, visitors have the option to walk the park, visit some of the permanent on site attractions, dine in Jarrow Café or the very popular TukTuk Asian Street Kitchen Restaurant, browse the on-site retailers in the Craft Yard or simply wait until called upon for their Santa’s Magical Village experience.
On entry through a magically themed portal, visitors interact with some of Santa's Elves and help them to make reindeer food, see Mrs. Claus making some tasty cookies - trying them out for themselves and finally sitting with Santa for a chat and having your photo taken with him.
Santa has planned a sensory aware day on Friday 1st of December from 2-8pm for all of his friends and families needing consideration and assistance (details below).
IMPORTANT - Any visitors expecting a present from Santa need to purchase a Child's ticket! Please note that Santa's presents have been designed for children of 12 years and younger.

Date: Friday 1st December (2-8pm) We would like to welcome all neurodiverse families to Santa’s Magical Village on this day, and celebrate with Santa your way. Our team are ready to help and support your family, so your child can have a happy and memorable visit to Santa, Mrs. Claus and their mischievous Elves!
As always, Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves are super patient and calm. The environment will have reduced festive music and lighting for an all still very magical experience.
We recognise that not one size fits all, so we are ready to personalise to your needs.
We can be contacted by email or phone and will provide you with a contact to manage your entire preparation and visit to this event with us. We have reduced queuing and longer time slots for your family to get through the experience. We will give precise time slots in advance, so no surprises and no stress.

SANTA'S INVITATION LETTER
While booking child tickets, you will have an option to include the “Santa’s Invitation Letter” to your package, we will just require your child's name and the address that the invitation is to be sent to. This can be a postal address or an email address.
YOUR SANTA VISIT
IMPORTANT - Any visitors expecting a present from Santa need to purchase a Child's ticket! Please note that Santa's presents have been designed for children of 12 years and younger.
Each child's ticket purchased will require some information to be supplied to ensure a unique and personalised interaction for your child with Santa. You will be asked "Is there anything Santa should know about your child?" Maybe consider the following for Santa to know:
School, teacher, favourite subject, best friend
Any special achievement or milestone the past year? - sport, academic, tooth loss, previous interaction with Santa?
Is there a “house elf” or pet at home? - what is their name? Any funny references about them?
You know your child best, so anything you think will make this invitation special to your child - just let us know when booking and we will confirm at check-in on the day.
The Santa’s Magical Village event is being run privately and in co-operation with the Castlecomer Discovery Park Board and Management Team.

We are located immediately outside the town of Castlecomer on the Dublin side of the N78. We are approx. 25 min. drive from Kilkenny city and 70 mins. from Newlands Cross flyover. We are easily accessible from the M9 and M7 motorways.
Yes, only pre-purchased tickets can access the event.
This event is open to everyone
Your ticket includes - free parking, access to Santa's Magical Village, a visit with Santa and his team, hot chocolate and a cookie. Children will also receive a gift from Santa and reindeer food.
Yes, baby changing facilities are available on site and the park is buggy friendly.
Yes, pets are welcome at the park, but not permitted inside the main building. Guide dogs are exempted. Water is available around the park and outside the café.
Yes. The event is designed to facilitate wheelchair users. A sensory day is also available to be booked. This allows for longer slot times to meet Santa and navigate the event. Details available on all event social media channels.
The event is indoors, but there are many more things to do around the park, including browsing the onsite retailers. So dress for the weather!

Your child will get to see Santa with the group that they are booked in with. For example, a booking of two adults and two children in the same timeslot will all visit Santa together.
Personal photography is permitted throughout the experience, except for with Santa. Photos will be taken professionally for your family with Santa. These are available to pre-purchase at booking or on the day.
Yes, please arrange this on check-in. However, each child will receive a gift from Santa.

There is a café on site that offers coffee, cold drinks, pastries, hot food, milkshakes, ice-cream, crepes and treats. The very popular restaurant Tuk Tuk Asian Street Kitchen offers the very best of fresh and authentic street food. Booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment on the day.
Yes, free parking is available on site for the duration of the event.
Santa's Magical Kingdom is located indoors, however some activities in the park are weather dependent. This event will proceed unless severe weather is expected. Keep up to date on all social media channels.
