The Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) is Ireland’s oldest conservatoire, ranked in the top fifty institutions in the world for the performing arts. They train gifted musicians from all over the world for careers in music performance, composition and pedagogy. RIAM graduates are innovative and reflective, with skills that enable them to take on the challenge of a life in the creative arts with confidence and zest.
A transformed campus was delivered in 2023 that matches the unique history of teaching and learning at RIAM. The Irish Government and leading philanthropists funded most of the campus redevelopment—an endorsement of the RIAM vision for music education in Ireland.
The 300 seat Whyte Recital Hall is the 'jewel in the crown' of the RIAM activities—the space where the very youngest RIAM students to the pre-professionals perform. This beautifully crafted hall - made in oak, with comfortable fixed seating rising above a generous stage.
