This exhibition features new large scale paintings, wide vistas and aerial views, of diverse landscapes of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County. Dave Madigan makes sculptural constructions made from modern day technological artefacts, and using forced perspective, places them in his detailed panoramic landscapes.
By foregrounding various technological objects within familiar Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown landscapes, Madigan aims to highlight the peculiar properties and auras which they possess, and invites the audience to re-assess both the landscape and the object within it. A new large scale sculpture also features in the exhibition.
Dave Madigan is a recipient of the dlr Visual Art Commission funded by The Arts Council of Ireland. This is Madigan's first solo exhibition. More information HERE.
