In collaboration with the the School of Modern Languages, Spanish & Latin American Studies of Maynooth University, the Embassy of Portugal to Ireland has arranged a screening of the documentary Heirs of Saramago.
Synopsis: “The José Saramago Literary Prize, created a year after Saramago was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, celebrates the talent of authors under forty.
Different voices, from different origins, with one link in common: the literary recreation of the Portuguese language.
The episodes screened will focus on the writers, Gonçalo M. Tavares (Portugal) and Ondjaki (Angola).
