Join us for our Photography Exhibition Out of Sight: Displacement and Survival in Gambella, Ethiopia, starting on @‌CultureNightDublin Friday 20 September and open till Thursday 26 September in the @‌thecomplex

The Gambella region in western Ethiopia has been hosting refugees from South Sudan for more than a decade but remains one of the most neglected humanitarian crises in the world. People have fled to Gambella due to conflict, droughts and flooding. This photography exhibition raises awareness and tells the stories of people in this region. It highlights how affected communities cope with the impact of conflict and climate change, and showcases their resilience despite the challenges of life in the camps.

Oxfam Ireland fights inequality to end poverty and injustice. We are part of a global Oxfam confederation of independent affiliates. Oxfam in Africa and the Oxfam EU office have collaborated on this project, and it was first featured at the European Humanitarian Forum's (EHF) photo exhibition on 18-19 March in Brussels.
