Paediatric First Aid for Childminders

Course details: This course is suited to childminders who require a basic understanding of Paediatric First Aid. The course is designed to enable the learner to understand the responsibilities of being a first aider and to provide treatment prior to arrival of the emergency services when needed. Chocking, CPR and operation of AED defibrillators for adult, child and infants is provided.

Course content: Assessing a situation, basic Life Support, CPR and defibrillation use, choking, shock, fractures, wounds and bleeding, head injuries, sprains and strains, medical emergencies, paediatric minor illness and injuries.

Certification: Each participant will receive a certification in paediatric first aid.
