North Inner City Sculptures and Monuments Walking Tour

Fire Station Artists’ Studios and The Five Lamps Arts Festival will bring you to explore the North Inner City through the statues and monuments, from historical pieces about national heroes such as the James Connolly Memorial on North Wall, to iconic sculptures like the Chariot of Life by Oisín Kelly at the Irish Life Centre, including contemporary works, such as Hexagon by Steven Doody at Marino College, and Scathan by Robert McColgan on Store Street Plaza.
Join tour guide Margaret O’Sullivan and artist Steven Doody to discover both the history behind the sculptures and monuments of the north east inner city, and to find out more about the making of those artworks.
Meeting point: Marino College, Memorial Garden at the Hexagon sculpture.
