Who can participate?

Accepted Answer

Software developers, Data analysts, tech entrepreneurs, users of LLMs, AI enthusiasts, and anybody who can support their teams with strong business acumen and presentation skills.

Question 2

Where is the AI Challenge taking place?

Accepted Answer

The first 6 days will be remote, and the in-person (final) day of the AI Challenge will take place in multiple hubs across the country.

Question 3

Can I sign up as an individual?

Accepted Answer

We encourage people to sign up in teams of maximum 7 people. If you do not have a team, email us and we do our best to assign you to a team. We however cannot promise this in all cases.

Question 4

Do we get access to facilitators or experts who can support?

Accepted Answer

Yes, experts from Google, OpenAI and other tech companies will be part of the kick off meeting and mid-week review. Facilitators from the AI Challenge Working Group will do their best to provide a steer, answer questions during the week and on 30th during the in-person meet.

Question 5

What do we need to bring with us on the 30th?

Accepted Answer

Your laptop, and any documentation you prepared while building your project. Facilitators and evaluators will be curious to understand the work that has gone into your idea.

Question 6

What do winning teams get?

Accepted Answer

The best teams will be invited to the National AI Meet in Galway's Hardiman Hotel on 5th September where they will showcase their  work to senior leadership team members from the likes of Boston Scientific, Cisco, Fexco, Genesys, among others. Win prizes and certificates.

What's in it for participants?

Have fun, build your network, meet some helpful AI experts, learn a lot in Ireland’s first National AI Challenge!

Who is organising and hosting the AI Challenge?

Accepted Answer

TechIreland and Data2Sustain EDIH are organising the country's first AI Challenge with support from Enterprise Ireland, Google, OpenAI and partners Code Institute, Codu, Jarvic.ai, Portershed.

Question 9

Can we present remotely?

Accepted Answer

You can work with your teams remotely from the 26th to 29th of August. You are expected to attend the in-person day on 30th August at the Hub venue of your choice to present your project to evaluators and facilitators.
