Welcome to My Moving Brain: Community Connect Event in Cork! Join us on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM at Mayfield Sports Complex for an inspiring and inclusive day for everyone!
The event is all about bringing the community together to share their insights, ideas and experiences around brain health and explore ways to remove barriers that may limit the opportunities for people living with brain conditions to participate in sport.
Whether you are an individual or family living with a brain condition, sports coach or leader, member of a sports club, teacher, patient organisation representative, researcher or simply interested in hearing more about brain health and wellness, there's something here for everyone.
Come along to hear from a range of inspirational speakers about how brain conditions can impact participation in sport, how people with lived experience manage their condition while performing on the international stage and share practical tips to promote and encourage the participation of people with brain conditions in sport. There will also be plenty of opportunities to engage an expert panel, ask questions and open discussions around brain health and sport inclusion.
You can find out more about our FutureNeuro brain research through fun, interactive science engagement activites that will include extracting DNA from bananas and exploring brain waves. We are also delighted to be partnering with the Cork Sports Partnership to offer a range of 'come and try' taster sports sessions for all ages and abilities provided by local sports clubs.
Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to connect with your community and be part of a conversation that will make a difference for people and families living with brain conditions across Ireland. We look forward to seeing you there!
