Enjoy a morning of coming back to calm & stillness. Feel the contrasting heat & cool of the sauna & swim in the salty waters of Lough Hyne. A Yin & Yang yoga session with Michelle Hegarty & a delicious home made vegetarian lunch by Claire Kennan.
We will gather initially for a welcoming cup of herbal tea, allowing ourselves some time to settle into a cosy grounding & connecting yoga session in the orchard yurt. After this we will head out for our sauna / swim. Sooth your muscles with the contrast of the penetrating heat of the sauna & refreshing cold waters of the salt water lake. After this we will feast on a delicious homemade vegetarian lunch & a close with a Yin meditative yoga session.

Yin Versus Yang & yoga.
Yin and yang is a duality concept, opposites like black & white, light & dark, high & low, hot & cold, but how does this apply to yoga, you might ask. Most yoga we part take in is Yang yoga, a more active, dynamic style of yoga. Yin is a very slow meditative form of yoga geared towards unwinding and relaxing the whole body. We move into a position and stay there for a period of time, allowing our bodies and mind to sink & settle, clearing mental, physical and emotional blockages in the body, which allows us to purify & release deeply. Practicing Yin yoga allows us to marinade in the moment and access that inner calm and stillness accessible through a Yin practice. Yin complements the yang of yoga and the yang of every day life, bringing us back into balance gently and harmoniously.
I f you feel like you've been running and racing a lot & you need a little bit of time for yourself, this is the perfect opportunity to slow down, reset & relax, coming back to stillness.
P lease plan on arriving at lough Hyne by about 20 minutes before scheduled start to allow time to park & walk up to the house which is about 10 mins walk.
