About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Looking for something a little different to do on a Friday night? Local poet Rosie Murphy is launching her very first poetry collection, let it bend, and it’s shaping up to be a gorgeous, cosy evening of words and chats at The Quay Co-op.

let it bend is steeped in love, resilience and the strength forged by vulnerability. Rosie’s poetry is raw, real, and brimming with heart, making her one to watch on the Irish spoken word scene.

Here’s just a sample of the word wizardry at play here:

On the night, Rosie will be joined by Cork writer Daragh Fleming, writer and mental health advocate, who’ll be asking her all the questions about her work, her inspirations, and what it feels like to pour your heart into a book and send it out into the world.

You’ll also get to hear Rosie perform some pieces from let it bend – the perfect way to experience the magic of her words. And if you’re smitten (spoiler: you will be), there’ll be copies of the book available to buy on the night.

Best of all? It’s free. No tickets, no fuss – just pop along, grab a seat, and soak up the vibes.

So mark your calendars for Friday the 29th Nov 7:30-8:30pm at Another Place, The Quay Co-op, Sullivan’s Quay, Cork

I teach a traditional tantra yoga along with free movement. Above all, the emphasis in my classes are on moving the body and breath in unison to calm the mind. Yoga, for me, is about being with your body so I emphasise working with my student's current physicality giving an organic flow to the class. And also making it fun!
