LAOISE LEAHY
Laoise is a renowned Cork vocalist who has developed into one of the most accomplished and versatile singers on the Irish jazz and contemporary music scenes. Inspired by collaborations with artists such as Johnny Taylor & his trio, Jack O’ Rourke, Dermot Kennedy, Damon Albarn, The Staves, Cormac Mc Carthy, Paul Dunlea and the New Irish Jazz Orchestra, Ólafur Arnalds, Ye Vagabonds and many more through significant live shows, festivals, recording sessions and residencies (including jazz artist in residence at Cork Opera House and @372d0 artist in residence at Sounds from a Safe Harbour Festival).
Laoise has been busy lately reflecting on her relationship with her art and audience and is broadening her musical scope, developing layers of texture, depth and meaning to her music and live shows.
Having composed and released original music to great acclaim and worldwide airplay, with her debut ‘Girl’ (August 2022), following with ‘Safe’ (July 2023) and ‘Starlight’ (October 2023) - the final of a trilogy which she also developed into a concept theatre show at The Granary Theatre as part of the Cork Jazz Festival 2023, bringing a unique and exciting blend of music to her stage show, exploring the depths, joys & possibility of human experience and emotion through songs, improvisation, sonic soundscapes and spoken word. She is looking forward to releasing her new ‘Breathe In and Let Go’ EP in Spring 2025.

Cian Sweeney is a session pianist and accomplished platinum producer whose work has earned over 100 million streams with artists as diverse as Ryan Mack, Robert Grace, Shiv, DeCarterat, Toucan & many more . His collaborative project, 1000 Beasts, has amassed over 11 million streams to date. With As If I Always Knew, Cian returns to the piano, sharing a deeply personal exploration of his musical roots.
Cian is excited to announce the launch of his latest artistic endeavor, "As If I Always Knew." This project marks a return to his roots as a pianist, presenting raw, live improvisations captured in their purest form, with no editing or production enhancements.
The project is a culmination of Cian’s long-standing relationship with the piano, an instrument he has played since childhood. As If I Always Knew Cian explains "is my attempt to capture my true voice - unapologetically live, unedited, and raw.” The music draws from the unfiltered expression found in the late-night improvisations that have been part of Cian's creative practice for years.
