Joycult

Hailing from Kilkenny and Wexford, Joycult are a female-fronted punk band making waves in the Irish rock scene. Blending elements of classic punk, indie rock, and hardcore, their performances have lit up iconic venues like Dublin’s Grand Social and Waterford’s Bank Lane. With undeniable energy, Joycult is quickly becoming a standout act.

The Donnys

The Donnys are an exciting and vibrant rock and roll experience born and bred in Kilkenny.

Described by Hot Press magazine as “raucous rhythm ‘n’ booze” their infections brand of music is both steeped in 70s blues rock while dabbling in more modern punk and noise rock influences.

Going from strength to strength since their formation in late 2021, they’ve secured support slots with Irish legends such as The Stunning, Kerbdog and The Undertones as well as expanding their reach to venues and festivals all over Ireland including biblical performances on the salty dog stage at Electric Picnic in both 2023 and 2024.

2024 was nothing but high points with April 5th seeing the release of their acclaimed debut album ‘Get Active’ and a subsequent tour spanning Dublin, Cork, Galway, Kilkenny, Waterford and Drogheda. After this the band played their biggest headline show to date in their home town of Kilkenny in Pegasus Nightclub which was filmed for RTE 1 and will be broadcasted summer of 2025.

The lads are currently polishing off an EP to be toured, merchandised and pressed on vinyl with the first of the singles coming in the next few weeks.

Oracle Villa

Oracle Villa are an original Rock n Roll band from Kilkenny, Ireland. They make music and play it loud, because they can and because they should.

Bad Mothers Union

Bad Mothers Union was established in Kilkenny in 2003. They released their debut single, ‘Fun For Five Year Olds’ three years later. In 2008, US subprime mortgage delinquency rates exceeded 21% causing mortgage-backed securities tied to real estate to plummet in their value. On September 15, Lehman-Brothers declared bankruptcy. Bad Mothers Union dissolved that same year.

In 2023, Bad Mothers Union reformed

They currently have a bassist retention rate of 40%.
