Veerle Dehaene is a highly accomplished costume practitioner and has worked on projects such as The Tudors, Disenchanted and Riverdance. Veerle also managed and curated Joan Bergin’s costume collection in The Costume Mill, Dublin, where she also ran an in-house costume rental business. Veerle currently works both in various film costume departments and runs ICAP with Eimer Ni Mhaoldomhnaigh.

Renowned veteran Costume Designer Joan Bergin Bergin is an international multi award-winning designer who has worked with some of the best directors and actors in the world including Jim Sheridan, Christopher Nolan, Mike Newell, Joel Schumacher, Neil Jordan, and has designed costumes for stars such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Amy Adams, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett, Alan Rickman, Emily Watson, Paul Mescal, and Richard Harris.

Joan has worked on iconic productions such as Disenchanted, The Prestige, The Tudors, Vikings, In The Name of the Father, The Field, and My Left Foot.

In 2023, Joan was honoured with the Irish Academy’s Industry Lifetime Achievement Award, for her outstanding contribution to the Irish and international screen industry, across both film and television.

This Head, Heart & Hands series coincides with and celebrates the 2025 Made in Wicklow Showcase at Powerscourt, Jan 31st - Feb 9th, a ten day exhibition of the excellence & diversity of Wicklow Craft.

As a broader initiative it will aid the actualisation of the Wicklow Craft Strategy 2023–2027 and is financially backed by the Transitional LEADER Rural Development Programme 2020–2023. The implementation of this project is supported by Wicklow Craft Foundation, County Wicklow Partnership and Wicklow County Council.
