Highly talented multi-instrumentalist group JARGON play mostly original songs and tunes heavily influenced by Ragtime, Blues, Folk, Bluegrass and even Pop music styles. The band formed by Charlie McGettigan and Eamonn Daly in 1973 had changed by the early 80s with new members Brendan Emmett, Gerry Grennan and Liam Gilmartin. They went on to win the prestigious Letterkenny Folk Festival, following in the footsteps of Clannad and Pumpkinhead. They won a recording contract with Polygram Records. This led to the release of three really popular singles 'Bailieboro and me’, ‘The Singer’ and ‘Hey Mr Dreamer’.
