About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

We would like to invite IWDG members who currently volunteer with our Stranding Network, as well as those who wish to learn more about volunteering, to join us to discuss cetacean stranding trends over the last few years, what we have seen so far this year, and to reiterate data collection protocols for those new to the stranding network.

In addition, we will be hearing from Mags Daly who will be discussing results from our Deep Diving and Rare Species Investigation Programme (DDRIP), and Gemma O'Connor who will be talking to us about live stranding events from this year.

We are also delighted to have Dr. Ana Vale of UCD , Dr. Amy Geraghty of NMINH and Dave Wall of IWDG come talk to us about their work with the IWDG stranding scheme.

This is also a great opportunity to catch up with everyone, and meet those new to the network ! We look forward to seeing you there !

The booking fee will be reimbursed after the meeting for those who attend the event

More details will be provided closer to the time.
