Welcome to the Irish Association for Simulation (IAS) Annual Symposium 2025!
The symposium will take place on Thursday 1st (Full Day 8.30-17.00, Evening Event 17.00-19.30) and Friday 2nd May (Half Day 9.00-13.00), and we are looking forward to this all island in-person event.
This year we are very excited to be partnering with UCD School of Veterinary Medicine in what we hope will be an ongoing collaboration between human and veterinary healthcare simulation!
There are 4 keynote speakers, a number of workshops and simulation companies which will have goods on display.
It will be hosted by the University College Dublin College of Health and Agricultural Sciences and St. Vincents University Hospital in partnership with the National Simulation Office.
ATTENDANCE FEES:
Full price (healthcare practitioners, simulation educators, faculty or equivalent): €120 Euro
Concession (healthcare trainees, student, ASPiH members, sim support staff or equivalent): €90 Euro
An evening reception will take place in the foyer of the UCD Club 5.30-7.30 on Thursday evening 1st May, with finger food and light refreshments. The cost of this is included in the attendance fee.
ABSTRACTS
We seek presentations on any aspect of veterinary and human healthcare simulation. Abstracts may cover any topic related to healthcare simulation. For example, this could include a description of an innovative educational programme, or a research or quality improvement activity. Presentations will be in the form of a short E Poster (a single powerpoint slide). Each poster presenter will have 4 minutes to communicate the key ideas from the poster, followed by 2 minutes for questions. Word limit for submission is 200 words. Please include a title and all author names and affiliations with your submission.Please submit your abstract to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/IAS25 Prizes will be awarded for the best presentation across a number of simulation themes.
Closing date for abstract submission is Monday, 7 April at 5pm.
