International Paramedics Day is an annual event which aims to build a better understanding of the breadth and depth of work carried out by paramedics around the world. The theme this year is "The Difference We Make" - from emergencies to the quieter moments of care, paramedics embody a commitment to making a difference in whichever setting they work. This year, we will be acknowledging the incredible work paramedics do and their dedication to instigate positive change within their workplaces, universities, medical centres, and communities.
Our IPERN event for International Paramedics Day event will be chaired by Advanced Paramedic, Michelle O'Toole (RCSI/UCC). Michelle is looking forward to welcoming our wonderful difference-making colleagues in paramedicine;
- Paige Mason (Ottawa Paramedic Service) Paramedics Flourishing at Work
- Olivia Lane (National Ambulance Service; NAS) The Ins and Outs of being an Assistant Staff Officer at NAS
- Macartan Hughes (University College Cork) The Difference We Make from an Educational Perspective
Hope you can join us at IPERN for a fascinating International Paramedics Day!
