Limerick Mental Health Week 2024

Date: October 6th - 13th, 2024

Theme: Community, Compassion & Connection

Join us for Limerick Mental Health Week 2024, dedicated to promoting mental well-being in our community. This year’s theme, “Community, Compassion & Connection,” focuses on activities that nurture the physical, mental, and social health of Limerick residents.

Organized by

Limerick Mental Health Association (LMHA) promotes positive mental health across Limerick City and County. We have a permanent home in the heart of Limerick City.

A group of community leaders set up LMHA in 2002. LMHA created and oversees the work of Le Chéile Peer Support Project, which promotes positive mental health within the local community.

We are helping the community to be well and maintain a positive mental health experience. One of our tools to achieve this is Wellness Recovery Action Planning – (WRAP) catered to you. These tools help you to manage the natural ups and downs of life.

We run Mental Health Week every year. The week will provide a forum to generate discussion, reduce stigma and promote positive mental health and well-being. Finally, Limerick Mental Health Week highlights the range of supports and services which are available within the local community to support our mental health.

We are affiliated with, and share the aims of Mental Health Ireland (MHI) – a national voluntary organisation. We promote positive mental health and support people who experience mental health difficulties.
