The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is delighted to present the first Faculty Inaugural Lecture of the academic year in celebration of the academic achievements of Professor Karen Desmond. Professor Desmond specialises in 13th- and 14th- century music, and is currently Principal Investigator on the ERC Consolidator project entitled: BROKENSONG, which examines polyphonic singing and written culture in late medieval Britain and Ireland.
