In Stitches Comedy - The Gong Show at Peadar Kearney's Cellar

The Gong Gong Show is a unique experience in which the comics are competing against the clock and the patience of the audience. The more the audience laughs, the more time on stage the comic has – but if you fail to deliver, get ready for the gong!

The way the show works is three random people from the audience are picked as our judges for the night and will be handed a paddle. Each comedian has to last 5 minutes on our stage and will be given a 2-minute grace period. After the 2 minutes, the judges will raise their paddle to vote off a comedian if they don't like the comedian on stage.

The winner of the night will enter into the Grand Final of the Gong Show with a chance to win 150euros.

- Emman Idama

Emman is a strong name in the Irish Comedy scene, nominated for Irish Comedian Of The Year 2020 & 2021, Chortle Finalist 2019, and many other more awards, he has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy and sports like Seann Walsh, Eric Cantona and more.

- Craig Moran

is an Irish Comedian that started doing stand up late in life. He was the funny kid in a family of seven, he was the class clown in school and was always the funny friend in his circle. All of this prepared him to do stand up comedy when he finally quit his bar management job and pursued his dreams of being a comedian.

Craig is a regular in all the major comedy clubs in Ireland, gigging with some of the best acts in the country. On stage he is ridiculous, silly and has a lot of energy when he tells stories or he gets into a bit. He also hosts weekly Quiz and Bingo events in the city center.

Tuesday's: The International Bar - Upstairs. Doors: 8:00pm / Shows: 8:30pm - 10:30pm. Fee: Online €10 / Door €12.

Wednesday's: Peadar Kearney (Downstairs). Doors: 8:30pm / Shows: 9:00pm - 10:30pm. Fee: : €10 with access to €6.50 pints & glasses of wine

Thursday's: Peadar Kearney. Doors: 8:30pm / Shows: 9:00pm - 10:30pm. Fee: Student €10 / Adult €12

When should be arrive?

We do encourage customers to arrive early as the pub is open from 2pm regularly. The comedy club at the cellar of the pub opens at 8:30pm but we do encourage customers to arrive early to guaranty sitting together especially large groups.

What time dose the show start?

Doors - 8:30pm / Show Start - 9:00pm / Show Ends - 10:30pm

Are all drinks €6?

On Monday all pints & lager or glass of wine are all €6

How long is the show?

The show is about 1hour 30min long from start time.

What should I do if `I don't find a act funny at the gong show?

After the 2min if you are picked as a judge you raise your paddle up and its counted, If you are not picked as a judged you can encourage the other judges to put their paddle up and voice your opinion.
