Anna Livia Creative and the James Joyce Centre invite you to an especially curated and captivating evening of poetry and music by the great Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca. The beautiful Spanish folksongs of Lorca will be performed by renowned soprano Elizabeth Hilliard and Ireland’s leading classical guitarist and composer Benjamin Dwyer.
Irish actor and spoken word artist Nicole Rourke will recite some of Lorca’s most iconic poems in English, and you will also hear the exciting rhythms and colours of some of Lorca’s finest poems in Spanish narrated by Andalucian journalist Antonio de Linares. Benjamin will also perform music by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla and his own Homage to Lorca.
Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are €20. There will be a complimentary drinks reception after the performance.
