CLG Sean MacCumhaill are hosting “Head’s up” which is a mental health awareness evening on 27th September in Jacksons Hotel, Ballybofey at 8pm. Over the last few years mental health issues have become more prevalent in our communities and by hosting this awareness evening, we hope to shine a light on issues such as depression, gambling and low self esteem.
This event is not just for players, coaches, parents, volunteers, etc. It’s aimed at everyone, from all ages, from all clubs and from inside and outside the GAA.
Guest speakers will include Shane Carthy, Oisin McConville, Ronan McNamee, Senior County Donegal player Katy Herron and Under 20 mentor Kevin Mills. MC for the night is former Senior Donegal player and plan.ie ambassador Brendan Devenney. There will also be a representative from the Addiction Service and SCAN (Suicide Crisis Assessment Nurse).
We really look forward to seeing you there. Doors open 7.15pm, event begins at 8pm.
