Statement from the Festival Director

We'd like to invite you to an evening of Georgian Films at the Lexicon, Dun Laoghaire on 2nd May 2025, 7PM - 9PM.

Visiting Georgia in late 2024, I was inspired by the spirit of Tbilisi and the ongoing struggle for democratic reform. In an effort to raise awareness of the current situation and to create connections between filmmakers based in Georgia and Ireland, I've teamed up with volunteers from the Kino Kabaret Dublin filmmaking community to stage this one night event.

In cooperation with Caucasus Cinema and the Georgian American Film Academy, we've extended an invitation to select Georgian and international filmmakers working in Georgia to screen their work: Films that speak to Georgian landscape, contemporary experience and culture. We've delighted and impressed to have had the chance to gather an incredible variety of films which represent some of the best contemporary Georgian shorts. Films that will entertain, surprise, delight and move you.

We want to make this festival accessible to all, so tickets are available for just 5 euro all inclusive. All films will be in both English and Georgian. So come along, bring your friends and family, and join us for this one night only event!

Special Thanks to: Vakhtang Kantaria, Vladic Ravich, Goga Mamukelashvili, Sandro Tughushi.

გამარჯობა!

All profits from this event will be donated to Spirasi - The National Centre for Survivors of Torture
