About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Galway people, join our adult meeting to connect with other ADHDers and offer each other some peer support and guidance

The exact location will be in the confirmation email :)

As there will be huge demand and places are limited, we ask that you only book on if you are 100% certain you can make it.

The ADHD Adult Support Group Guidelines are as follows:

• Everything discussed within the group is confidential and not to be discussed outside the group

• Medication advice will not be given – ADHD Ireland are not clinicians and not qualified to moderate discussions on medication

• Everyone will be given an opportunity to speak, if they wish to do so, however, there is no obligation on anyone to speak

• Be respectful in allowing other people a chance to speak, try and avoid speaking over each other

• Feedback can be given after the group by email to info@adhdireland.ie

NOTE: Please do not register if you think you cannot participate in the session because places are limited and it may take up a space that someone else would like to use.

**Please note**

This group is a peer support group; we are not mental health professionals and therefore not trained to deal with Mental health disorders, and it is not a space to talk about personal trauma. The support we offer is only support. We advise if you have any significant issues or are seeking medical advice, then please speak to your GP. If you ever feel you are in mental health crisis and need urgent help, call The HSE YourMentalHealth Information Line on freephone 1800 111 888 anytime day or night, or visit your local A and E.

If you need to get urgent help for a mental health issue and your GP is not available, you can contact a GP out-of-hours service or access mental health services through your local mental health unit or hospital. You can get help by text message at any time using the 50808 text service.

Call 999 or 112 if you or someone you know needs emergency help.

Organised by

ADHD Ireland envisages a future where all individuals affected by ADHD are included, supported, and empowered in all contexts of their lives (e.g. school, work, home, and socially) to participate fully within, benefit from, and contribute meaningfully to Irish society.

ADHD Ireland is the national organisation that works to support those with ADHD and endeavours to enable this.
