What's happening: This panel discussion will provide a hands-on perspective as well as insights from researchers on the future of organic soils in Ireland – what is working well in the management of peatlands and organic soils currently, what new information has been obtained and what changes need to be made.

Our expert contributors are;

Stephen Barry, Technical Advisor on Landuse at Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications

The panel will discuss current and future perspectives on organic soils in Ireland and there will be an opportunity to ask them some questions afterwards.

Anyone interested is very welcome to attend the event on site in Bolton St or online and registration is free of charge.

This event is organised by Dr Ken Boyle, Dr Claire McDonnell and Dr Saurabh Singh in collaboration with student partners from 3rd year of the BSc Environmental Management and is associated with the EU Horizon funded LOESS Soil health education and awareness project.
