Retail Expert James Burke has decades of experience working with cross sector retailers as diverse as Eason’s, Maxi Zoo, Ecco and An Post retail to name a few. Most of James time is spent working with independent owner/operated retailers and he has a deep knowledge of the needs of the independent sector. James Mallow talk will focus on the all-important early preparation which will ensure business owners can reap the rewards for the festive season, and the early stages of 2025. James is renowned for his practical easy to implement advice and business owners at the event will have an opportunity to have a live Q&A conversation at the end of the presentation.

About James Burke
Originally from Bantry in West Cork, James Burke spent the first 20 years of his career with retail icon Feargal Quinn. Having started on the shop floor, James ended up at the Board room table during his time in Superquinn. In the more recent 20 years, James has worked with some of Irelands biggest retail brand names and over 100 independent retailers each year. Over the last decade, he has led the highly successful Retail Excellence Ireland Management Development programme which has been attended by over 1800 retail managers. His understanding of the dynamics of independent retailing in Ireland is well recognised and he is often quoted in the media for his retail views.
