We are delighted to announce LGBT Irelands 2025 Pride Healthcare Conference For Better, For Worse: Addressing LGBTQ+ Mental Health Disparities to be held on Friday, June 6th at the RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) on St. Stephens Green from 10:00am – 3:30pm.
A decade on from a landmark year for LGBTQ+ inclusion in Ireland—marked by the passage of Marriage Equality, Gender Recognition, and greater recognition for LGBTQ+ families—services for the LGBTQ+ community have expanded, yet mental health outcomes have seen a sharp decline. Join us as we reflect on the progress made, showcase emerging best practices, and explore solutions to ongoing challenges which still impact the lives of the LGBTQI+ Community.
At the event, we will launch new Mental Health Commission guidance designed to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights and promote positive, equitable experiences for LGBTQIA+ individuals accessing mental health services. The guidance aims to support mental health services in delivering high-quality care and driving positive change in how LGBTQIA+ people are treated within Ireland’s mental health system.
It will also address common questions and information gaps that mental health staff may have when providing care to LGBTQIA+ service users.
With special thanks to our venue sponsors the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Department in RCSI.
