About this event

Figments: Art, Technology and Imagination – three days of workshops spanning creative technology, independent publishing and design thinking. Opportunities for anyone intrigued by the potential of new and old technology to make, create and learn in a calm, supportive environment.

  • Tues 12th // Day 1 - hosted by Viva Dean from Synthesize_Her, you will explore the potential of noise making technology. ***This workshop is for FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non Binary, Trans, Agender) people only***
  • Wed 13th // Day 2 - hosted by Aisling Phelan from DATA (Dublin Art and Technology Association), will get you started with 3D scanning.
  • Thurs 14th // Day 3 - hosted by Dan Callanan from the Department of Energy (DOE), you will learn the basics of zine creation.

These are independent workshops. Attending one session doesn't mean you have to attend the others. Tickets are free but places will be limited – we can’t wait to see you there!

The workshops will be places where participants can “try things out, make mistakes, get feedback, try again.” Viva, Dan, and Aisling are experienced creative educators passionate about allowing inexperienced people the opportunity to experiment and create in safe, supportive environments.
