About this event

  • Event lasts 5 hours

Barry Lowry will deliver the keynote address, highlighting the critical role of AI and Data Governance in shaping the future of digital innovation.

This event will feature a Spotlight on Innovation, showcasing our latest collaborative research projects in both the public and private sector, demonstrating key outputs and achievements, providing critical takeaways for the audience. We will host two interactive breakout sessions:

  1. Building Stories – Ireland lacks reliable data on the built environment, hindering efforts to address housing, climate challenges, and the decline of rural towns. Building Stories aims to develop a geospatial model to identify vacancy and assess urban adaptability. By integrating data from various sources using GIS, AI, and proxy datasets, this model will serve as a dynamic management tool at the building level. High-quality data will enable more efficient use of vacant spaces, supporting housing solutions, reducing emissions, and revitalising town centres for sustainable communities.
  2. The Data Governance Roadmap – Launched by Minister Sean Fleming on behalf of Taoiseach Micheál Martin in 2024. Advancing our strategy as we transition into Phase 2 of the initiative. Get involved and have a voice in shaping the future national policy.

Join us as we bring together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to drive forward impactful discussions and collaborative solutions in data governance.
