The Dublin Santa Cycle

Join us for the most festive event of the year, the Dublin Santa Cycle! Get ready to spread some holiday cheer as we cycle through the beautiful streets of Dublin, dressed as Santa Claus. This is the perfect opportunity to embrace the Christmas spirit and have a jolly good time with family and friends while raising funds for Ronald McDonald House.

Starting outside The Laurels @ 2 Main Street Clondalkin, the first stop on our merry cycling adventure will take us to meet Santa and Pals on the Music Bus in the Phoenix Park, where the atmosphere always steps up a notch! and then after a brief pause with the reindeer and magical lights, on through the heart of Dublin, passing iconic landmarks and spreading joy to all who see us. Don't forget to don your Santa suit and bring your holiday spirit!

Whether you're an experienced cyclist or just looking for a fun-filled day, the Dublin Santa Cycle is suitable for all over 18 years old and all fitness levels. So grab your bike, put on your Santa hat, and let's make this a Christmas to remember!

Frequently asked questions

Where is the start point

The Santa Cycle departs the Laurels Pub in Clondalkin, D22 EK20 at 4pm sharp. Please arrive 15-20 mins beforehand, to deal with wardrobe malfunctions, see everyone elses attempts at pimping their bikes and costumes, meet your cycling companions and be present for the all-important SAFETY BRIEFING.

Where can I park?

There is ample free parking in Clondalkin village. We advise everyone NOT to Park at the Papal cross in the Phoenix Park and attempt to join us in the park as there is NO SUPPORT in place to accompany participants from the finish at The Laurels back to the Phoenix Park

Can I join the cycle at Phoenix Park? (Ticket purchase is required) Papal Cross 4.45pm

It is possible to join us in the Park, HOWEVER, there is NO support in place to accompany participants from the finish line at The Laurels to any other location. You will need to make alternative plans to get back to the Phoenix Park or other alternative final destination.

Will there be Drinking?

During the event, any participants thought to be under the influence of alcohol by our event or cycling marshals will be asked to take an alternative route, under Garda supervision if necessary, so we can ensure the safety and welfare of our other participants on the planned route.

When is the Suit Collection?

Suits can be collected from The Laurels in Clondalkin on the Friday before the event, PROVIDED YOU BRING PROOF OF PURCHASE OF A TICKET WITH YOU, ONE TICKET PER SUIT. IF COLLECTING FOR SOMEONE ELSE YOU WILL NEED THEIR TICKET.

Do I need to bring my ticket with me to gain admission?

Yes you will need to display your ticket on your smartphone or produce your paper ticket to gain entry to the event.
